Looking for some quick cash?? Yea, you can search your couch cushions for loose change or crack open your kid’s piggy bank…or you can take advantage of the 11 ways to make free money I’ve listed below.
These are all completely legit and easy as hell. Check them out and start making easy money.
Easy Free Money
I love Survey Junkie because it lets me earn quick money by sharing my opinion anytime I have a few extra minutes to spare. Once you set up your account and profile you’ll be matched for online surveys that pay real money.
And you can take them anywhere and on any device you choose.
Lounging on the couch watching television? Sitting in the waiting room while your doctor is running late? Chilling in the car until school is dismissed? Use that time to hop on Survey Junkie and take a quick survey or two.
Every survey you complete earns points which can be redeemed for cash via Paypal or gift cards to places like Starbucks, Amazon, or Target.
Ebates – $10 Signup Bonus!
I can’t stand crowded mall parking lots and long lines at the store, so I do most of my shopping online. Online prices are usually cheaper than those in store anyway, but when I shop through Ebates I save even more money.
You can use their portal to shop at thousands of online stores including Apple, Home Depot, Sur La Table, Land’s End, Macy’s and much, much more. Every purchase you make earns cash back which you can receive as a check or through PayPal.
Ebates is free to join and you’ll get a $10 bonus just for signing up!
Ibotta – $10 Free Money Just For Signing Up
Do you like to eat food?
Cool! Me too!
Ibotta is a free, easy-to-use smartphone app that gives you cash back on your purchases at supermarkets and other retailers.
Before you hit the store, take two minutes to search for items on your shopping list in the app.
Eggs? Check. Ketchup? Check. Captain Morgan Spiced Rum? Double-Check!
Add each item to your shopping list within the app. Then shop just like you normally would.
When you get home snap a picture of your store receipt and watch the rewards hit your account.
When you sign up with my special link here you’ll receive a $10 reward just for signing up! Cha-Ching!
Swagbucks is one of my favorite ways to earn free money. When you sign up you’ll receive a $5 bonus just for trying it out. (HINT – That’s enough for a free $5 Amazon card right off the bat!)
You’ll earn more points just by taking short surveys, playing games, and searching the web.
But my favorite way to earn points is by watching short videos and movie trailers while I work out on the treadmill. I get a good workout and make some extra money while I’m at it!
Each point is worth a penny and you can trade them in for cash via PayPal or gift cards to popular stores like Amazon, Home Depot, Starbucks, iTunes, and many more.
Job Spotter is a neat app for your smartphone that allows you to earn some quick money while you’re out running errands. All you have to do is snap pictures of help wanted signs posted at local businesses and upload them into the app.
BAM! Just like that you’ll earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards.
Are you going to make a fortune taking pictures of help wanted signs? Nope.
But can you earn enough for a case of beer? Hell yeah.
You can literally start earning money within minutes of downloading the app.
Acorns makes investing easy and painless by rounding up your purchases to the nearest dollar and investing that extra change for you.
Here’s how it works:
Sign up for an Acorns account and link up your debit or credit cards. Each time you use the card your purchase gets rounded up and that extra change gets automatically invested within your account.
So let’s say you spend $48.25 on family dinner and you pay with your debit card. You’ll actually see $49 come out of your account ($48.25 goes to the restaurant and the other 75 cents gets deposited into your account with Acorns).
It may not seem like much but all those tiny deposits can really add up!
Do you have a bunch of old CD’s, DVDs, books, and video games laying around your house collecting dust? How about old cell phones, iPods, or tablets?
You can turn that unwanted stuff into cash by using a neat app called DeCluttr.
Here’s how it works:
Download the app for free here. Then scan the bar codes of each item to receive an instant offer. Pack them up and ship them using the free shipping label provided. Once your items are received you’ll receive payment via check, direct deposit, or PayPal.
Don’t you hate it when you buy something and then a week later you see the price has dropped? This happens all the time to online shoppers and by using a free app called Paribus you can actually get a rebate without doing a thing.
Just download the app and link up your email address. Paribus automatically scans your email for shopping receipts and when they find a price drop they notify you and file a claim to get you your refund. This is the definition of free money with no effort required on your part.
You may have money that belongs to you out there and you don’t even realize it. Uncashed checks, insurance policies, 401k accounts, stock dividends, utility deposits, escrow accounts, and safe deposit boxes are just a few sources of forgotten money sitting around unclaimed. You can search Missing Money to see if you have any forgotten cash floating around.
If you shop on Amazon (who doesn’t?) you can get paid $3 every month just for signing up for Shoptracker.
Shoptracker is owned by The Harris Poll, a major survey company that measures U.S. public opinion on various topics. In this study they want to develop a richer understanding of the Internet marketplace, allowing for greater insight into how people are using their computers or mobile devices to make purchases throughout the United States.
When you join you, the app gets access to your order history including item number, order date, category, etc. They NEVER get access to your personally identifiable or payment information.
You can quit participating at any time, but for each month you do participate you’ll earn $3/month. That’s $36 a year just for doing nothing.
Talk about easy, free money.
Most people have multiple subscriptions to services they aren’t even using anymore. Maybe it’s the gym membership you still pay for even though you haven’t worked out in over a year. Or the streaming service that you almost never watch.
These subscriptions quietly renew themselves and if we’re not really careful we can end up paying for them long after we’ve stopped using them.
Trim acts like your own personal assistant by digging through your bank statements and credit card receipts to find these recurring payments and painlessly canceling the ones you no longer need.
